Workshop on Uncertainty of Measurement in Testing & Calibration

Confederation of Indian Industry- Institute of Quality (CII-IQ) is organizing training on Uncertainty Measurement in Testing & Calibration on 27 - 28 June 2019, Bengaluru & 4 - 5 July 2019, Pune. Reliability of measurements and test ! calibration results has assumed great significance with the growing recognition that they can critically affect decisions in procurements, certification, regulation, healthcare, etc. This has led to lot of confidence being placed on the accreditation systems through which they are assessed and used. One of the most important technical criteria prescribed in ISO 17025 is the evaluation of uncertainty of measurements both for testing and calibration results and to record these in the test reports.

The workshop would cover the basic principles of uncertainty measurement and their specific application in various measurements. This programme also focuses on the use of measurement uncertainty details on conformity as per the latest ISO 17025: 2017 through practical examples, which is required by both testing & calibration laboratories.

FACULTY PROFILE

Mr Vivek Ghodke will be the faculty for the programme. Mr ghodke is having 25 + yrs of experience in Gauge Design and manufacturing field, and have sound background of Industrial metrology. Since last fifteen years, have conducted more than 250 + training programs in different subjects related to Industrial metrology at different Industries across India. The subjects include Evaluation of measurement uncertainties, Calibration of measuring instruments, statistical analysis of measurement process capabilities through measurement system analysis etc.At Admet – 2012, organised by Metrology Society of India - presented technical papers on Industrial metrology and its statistical analysis.

Since last 15 yrs working as a lead Assessor with NABL and has so far conducted more than 150+ assessments of different calibration and testing laboratories with-in India. Apart from Assessor's role with NABL, actively participate in NABL technical committees and also work as a faculty member for Assessors course of NABL.
