Operational Excellence Certication Programme


Introduction

Global Competition, Cost Pressures and Macroeconomic environments are posing challenges to the current levels of Process Efciency and Quality in various Manufacturing Industries. The current hypothesis centers on the Implementation of Operational Excellence to counter these challenges.

Operational Excellence is a holistic way of managing operations by using tools and techniques whose origins could be traced to Toyota Production System and Theory of Constraints. In Line with this, CII Institute of Quality is please to announce Operational Excellence Certication Programme at Bengaluru during 25 - 27 April 2019.

 

Objectives

  1. Gain an insight into Toyota Production systems & Guidelines to create a Lean Value Stream
  2. Learn all the Tools and Techniques to be a Basic Expert
  3. Understand concepts of Lean, Factory Dynamics and Theory of Constraints
  4. Deploy tools on the production floor

 

Course Structure

In addition to the faculty inputs, participants would have:

  1. Classroom exercises on various tools
  2. Videos to explain concepts
  3. Interaction with the faculty and other delegates
  4. Case studies

The participant will qualify as an Operational Excellence Basic Expert after he/she successfully passed the exam (100 marks) towards the end of the training.

 

Who Should Attend?

This 3-Day workshop is ideally suitable for medium and senior management positions. These leaders are expected to take the learning's from this course and apply them to their respective workplaces.

The coverage of the program is principally centered on the manufacturing sector

TPS house (Epitome of Lean), Mura, Muri and Muda, Value Add, Non-Value Add and Essential Non-Value Add, Work Balance Board, Single piece Flow, Guidelines to Create a Lean Value Stream, 5S (Workplace Organization), Power of Huddles, Visual Management, Value Stream Mapping, Process Mapping, Process Standardization, Production Leveling (Heijunka), Root Cause Analysis and 5 Why Analysis, Seven QC tools, Skill Matrix and Job Classications, FMEA, Brainstorming and Afnity Diagram, Quality improvement through 8D, A3 Problem Solving, Quality Process Sheet, Standardized Work Combination Table, Factory Dynamics (Little's Law), Single Minute Exchange of Dies, Hoshin Kanri and Balanced Scorecard, Chaos Theory and Theory of Constraints, Drum Buffer and Rope Model
