Workshop on Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)

The Confederation of Indian Industry –Institute of Quality (CII-IQ) is pleased to announce its two days training programme on Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) to be held on 12th & 13th November at Bangalore.

Course Objectives

  • To learn Limits, Fits & Tolerances, Selective Assembly, Cost Vs Tolerance, Capability &Statistical Tolerancing, Datum Elements, Allowance, Surface Roughness
  • To learn the standard method of interpreting the Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing given in the drawing
  • To learn how inspection gauges and fixtures have to be designed based on the GD&T given in the drawing

  • Types of Tolerances, Limit Tolerancing, Tolerancing methods, General Tolerancing
  • Single Segment and Composite Tolerancing, Statistical Tolerancing, Cost benefits by using GD&T will be dis-cussed  
  • Fits---Clearance, Interference, Transition, Hole basis, Shaft Basis, Tolerance Graphs, Production tolerance, Fundamental deviations, Coordinate dimensioning, Geometrical Dimensioning tolerance

  • Distinction between Form, Orientation, Location ,Profile, Run out and Location tolerances

  • CII Members:-Rs 12,000/- Plus 18% Tax-per delegate
  • CII Non Members:-Rs 13,000/- Plus 18% Tax – per delegate
  • 3 or more delegate from single company would be entitled for 10% discount on the total fee payable
  • Delegate fee is not refundable. Changes in nominations are acceptable
  • This is a non– residential programme, hence participant are requested to make their own arrangements.
