CII-IQ works extensively with several large, medium and
small companies in both, public and private sectors. In the last two decades,
over 250,000 people have benefited from these programmes.
It has undertaken several consulting Projects in South Africa, Sri
Lanka, Bangladesh,
Indonesia, Thailand and Egypt to establish network
through Quality initiatives.
The Institute is closely associated with several national
and international Organizations to promote mutual learning and growth.
ACRO - Association of Contract
Research Organisations
Under the aegis of CII and Indian Contract Research Organisations, ACRO (Association of Contract Research Organisations) has been registered as a Society. The
objectives of ACRO are to: Share best practices, Identify and establish
benchmarks, provide global outsourcing opportunities and standards, promote
the ‘Indian Brand’ in contract Research/Services, share resources and
information on CRO services and provide effective, common platforms
worldwide for promotion and recognition.
AOTS - Association for Overseas
Technical Scholarships
Japan
based, AOTS is a not-for-profit association run with Japanese government
subsidies. It conducts various management-training courses to nurture
executives and managers in developing countries. CII-IQ in partnership,
offers these programmes to various organizations.
Over 750 people from Indian Industry have so far benefited from these
training programmes.
ASQ - American Society of
Quality
With more than 50 years into the promotion of Quality in
the USA,
this apex organization runs certified courses for Quality Professionals. ASQ
also administers the Malcolm Baldridge Award of
the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). CII-IQ interacts
with ASQ regularly.
British Standards Institute
BSI is the leading
global provider of management systems assessment and certification
solutions, with more than 60,000 certified locations worldwide. It also provides
organizations from all
sectors with best practice solutions and standards that represent and
support the needs of business and society in India and worldwide. They also
provide professional training,
information and knowledge on standards, management systems, business
improvement and regulatory approval. CII has entered into a strategic MOU
to cooperate and jointly promote awareness of Standards in the areas of
Sustainability Management, Risk management, food safety and Service Sector.
Export Import Bank of India
Export Import (EXIM) Bank of India
is an apex financial institution set up in 1982 for financing, promoting
and facilitating India's
international trade. It has been playing a pioneering role in motivating
and supporting Indian companies towards several Quality and other
competitiveness related initiatives. In the year 1994, Exim
Bank and CII have joined hands and established the CII-Exim
Bank Award for Excellence to promote the application of the Excellence
Model in India
to enhance its global competitiveness.
EFQM - European Foundation for
Quality Management
Started by business professionals for promoting Quality as
a CEO's initiative, EFQM manages the European Quality Award and licenses
assessors across Europe for the Award
process. Most European nations have adopted this model. CII's
model for Business Excellence is based on the EFQM model on Quality.
GEM - Global Excellence Model
Council
This apex Council administers the US Malcolm Baldridge National Quality Award, the European Quality
Award, the Australian Business Excellence Award, the Japan Quality Award, the
South African Excellence Award and the SPRING, Singapore.
CII-IQ is a member of the GEM Council; an affiliation that
ensures the CII Exim Bank Award for Business
Excellence reflects the world's most validated management practices and
principles.
IRCA - The International
Register of Certified Auditors
Certifying auditors since 1984, IRCA is part of the UK's
initiative to make business and industry more competitive. Their evaluation
and certification methods are adopted by most other auditor certification
bodies. With IRCA's association, CII organizes
the Auditor/Lead Auditor Training Courses based on ISO 9001:2000 standards.
IQA- Institute of Quality
Assurance
UK
based IQA provides professional recognition and support for quality
managers in production, planning, human resources, IT and general
management. Through education and training IQA pursues its vision to place
Quality at the heart of every organisation.
Union of Japanese Scientists and Engineers (JUSE) was established in 1946 by the Japanese Government with
the purpose to promote systematic studies needed for the advancement of
science and technology and to contribute to the development of culture and
industry. JUSE also manages Deming Prize, which is well known in the field
of TQM. Every year, CII-IQ organises a Mission comprising Indian Industry representatives to
JUSE to attend the International TQM Seminar. 500 people have so far
attended the JUSE Seminar, from Indian Industry.
CII-IQ has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Mandava Associates
- a Washington D.C. based consulting/contracting
company to provide consultancy and training in the areas of Pharma, Biotechnology and Medical Devices. Mandava Associates guides clients and provides services
in GLP, GMP and
cGMP.
Quality Council of India (QCI)
QCI is an autonomous organisation
to establish the National Accreditation structure, jointly by Government of
India and the Indian Industry represented by, CII, ASSOCHAM and FICCI.
CII-IQ is closely working with QCI in spreading the Quality Movement in India.
SPRING, Singapore.
Standards, Productivity and Innovation Board
This national agency is entrusted with the singular
responsibility of sustaining Singapore's productivity growth
and competitiveness. CII and SPRING work together in areas of mutual
interest.
WorldSkills International
WorldSkills International,
located in Netherlands,
is a not-for-profit membership association open to
organizations, which have a responsibility for promoting vocational education
and training in their respective countries/regions. They organize World
Skills Competition every two years in which the member countries
participate. CII, a member of WorldSkills International, is coordinating the
participation of Indian Industry in the 2007 Competition to be held in
November in Japan.
Indian Industry will be competing in five different skills.
Since 1989, CII has been organizing the “National Work
Skills Competition” in India
to encourage and recognise skills in different
trades. The Ministry of Labour, Government of India, recognizes the
Competition. The competition is
being aligned on the lines of International WorldSkills
Competitions to give the competitors a feel of the globally benchmarked
standards.
